"Who said? Havin’ trouble seein? I’m right over here!" He waved his tiny arms.
"You can speak!” Naveen grinned widely. This was amazing!! “Achidanza….” Naveen poked at the little firefly to make sure it was real and not part of his imagination.
Tiana gave him a smile and gave a nod. Thinking that he was going to wish on something material or for something only a rich folks would wish for, she was speechless when she hears his wish. It was a really nice thing to do, even if his wish wouldn’t come true. The dead couldn’t rise from the dead and her saved up money can’t be double overnight.
She was about to take his hand and thank him, but then he winked her. Scoffing, she shook her and turned to the direction of home. She walked and didn’t turn around to see Naveen was following her. “Mister, you just wished on a big ball of hot air, a million miles from here. I reckon your wish will not come true. Plus, you told it to another person.”
"Does telling someone your wish make it not come true?" he asked, confused as he turned and followed her. "That is very silly." Didn’t it make sense to tell as many people what you wished for so that they would get it for you and there was less work on your part??
"I think instead I will wish that you become less of a stick in the mud. But I will do it later when you are not around so you do not hear it, and so the wish will still be legally binding, as it were." He smirked.
((I’m way to tired to do anything here today but I just wanted to say a happy 4th anniversary to patf!!!!
This movie brought me to tumblr and to the rp community and has led me to making such wonderful friends.
I love you all
Tiana smiled when Naveen agreed with her and peeked at him, but then quickly glanced right back up again when she noticed he was looking at her. She had seen men stare at Lottie like that before. Usually it made her smile and gently tease Lottie about it, but now that someone was looking at her like that it made her want to hide in the bayou. “The sky, I mean.”
Daddy had tried to tell her that it was alright to wish on stars, but you had to work for it too. Tiana was already working, so wishing on stars was pointless. She looked away from the evening star and shook her head. “The last time I wished on that star, my wish didn’t come true. It’s stupid anyway. You can’t go wishing on stars and expect to them to come true.” After a short pause, she looks at Naveen and shrugged. “I’m sure Lottie will tell you all about her wishes that she makes on the evening star.”
There was that Lottie again. Either Tiana was eager to shove him off on someone else, or this friend of hers was very very desperate for a husband. Naveen was less and less sure about possibly marrying Lottie. But that bank account of hers…. Naveen sighed as he was torn once again by this decision. Life would be so much easier if he were rich again, but it would be a lot less fun. He cursed his parents for cutting him off and making his life miserable.
But none of that was Tiana’s fault, and she sounded a little sad for not getting her wish. “I think that perhaps I will make my own wish,” he said to her then turned his face towards the sky. “My wish is for all of Tiana’s dreams to come true.” He faced Tiana again and winked at her. He’d make his own personal wish later when he had more privacy. But at any rate, hopefully this current wish would come true, especially if any of those dreams included making the sexy business with him. He could only hope so.
"We’re almost there. Just a few more blocks." Tiana noticed that he was lagging a bit behind her. Suddenly feeling bad for him, she realized that the poor prince probably had never walked this far in his whole life. While her own feet were sore and covered in blisters, Naveen had carriages and cars to take him to places.
"Isn’t it a beautiful view, hon?" She asked as she looked up and admired the beautiful Louisiana night sky. There seemed to be thousands of stars in the sky and the most prettiest of them all shined the brightest. "That’s the evening star." Pausing for a bit, she nodded up. "Some say if you wish on it, your dreams come true."
A few more blocks. Naveen sighed and yawned. His earlier buzz of energy from the alcohol was quickly wearing off, and he was getting sleepy. Good thing he had bumped into Tiana who had a place for him to sleep.
"It is a beautiful view," he said, looking at Tiana, and not the night sky. But when she mentioned the star, he glanced up and found the star in question. He knew he recognized it from star gazing in Maldonia, although it was in a different spot in the sky over there. One of his tutors had attempted to teach him about constellations growing up, though of course Naveen didn’t remember anything about them. He did like this wishing on stars business, though. They didn’t have anything like that in Maldonia. "And what do you wish for, Tiana?" he asked, softly.
With a grumble, she frowns up Naveen. With the effort he put into trying to charm Tiana, she hoped that he put the same effort into his princely responsibilities. “I wasn’t swooning. There was no need to sweep me off my feet.”
Taking his hand, she lets him help her up. With groan, she rubbed her behind. It was bad enough her muscles were sore from the hard work of the day, but now it was going to hurt to sit. “We would get home faster if you kept your hands to yourself.” She turns her away from him and continues walking. Why on earth would he think she wanted to enjoy herself with him? He was just an annoying, stupid bum, even if he was good looking. With a glance over her shoulder, she swings her hip to the side and places her hand on her hip. ”Well, don’t just stand there. C’mon, mister.”
When Tiana rubbed her bum, Naveen was about to offer his (nonexistent) massaging skills to make her butt feel better, but after her comment about keeping his hands to himself, he thought better of saying it.
But he couldn’t help looking at it when she walked away from him. How could he? It was so nice to look at. So when she beaconed him he shuffled along. “How much further is it?”
